¡AXOLOTL! - REGENERATE FOR THE PLAYA 2024

¡AXOLOTL! URGENT UPDATE - 9/7/23

We want to assure everyone that the AXOLOTL and crew have made it safely off the Playa. Huzzah!

Furthermore, we are proud to report that AXOLOTL thrived at Burning Man 2023 — even under unprecedented conditions — featuring the best programming and sound we’ve ever had. Over the course of last week we gave rides to hundreds, serenaded thousands, and featured dozens of amazing artists and collaborators!

When the rains and mud finally came Friday AXOLOTL sustained some significant damage, but our camp worked doubly hard to Leave No Trace on our precious Playa. Undeterred and reinvigorated, we are already excited to come back in 2024!

But to do this WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT NOW MORE THAN EVER!

Please donate if you can, and share widely amongst those who we touched and inspired. And as always, 10% of your contributions will go to regenerate the precious native ecosystem of the living Axolotls in Xochimilco.

Finally please find below a video from AXOLOTL’s “Shelter in Place” Party Saturday Sept 2, 2023 in La Calaca Village. With the event shut down and all driving impossible, Polo (Polo & Pan) trudged through the mud to us and we fired up the AXO in its parking spot in camp — throwing an exuberant Block Party as the world reported on our supposed misery. It was joyous night, and proof positive of the Burner ethos of celebrating the moment, no matter the challenges.

THANK YOU -- AND PLEASE SUPPORT AXOLOTL TO RETURN TO THE PLAYA IN 2024!

Germany's National Public Television made an amazing 30-minute documentary about Burning Man -- and featured the ¡AXOLOLT! community as its central character!
