Bone Marrow Transplant Assistance

Donation protected

Good day everyone,

We are The Stoners, my husband Keino and I have known each other from high school, however, as time and fate would have it we did not reunite until we were in our 40's. Between November - January 2020 Keino became very sick, fevers, night sweats, losing weight, loss of appetite, cough, achy body and runny nose. We went to numerous ER visits, urgent care visits, even primary care physician visits, and each visit the doctors determined it was either an upper respiratory infection, asthma (never diagnosed with that) bronchitis and pneumonia.

My husband, Keino proposed to me during one of our many ER visits during December 2019.

We were married on February 20, 2020 on February 25, 2020 Keino went in for a neck biopsy to determine if the mass on his neck was cancer. On March 12, 2020 Keino was diagnosed with T-Cell Peripheral Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma Stage II. Keino was scheduled for 6 chemotherapy treatments, 1 cycle every 21 days. Keino became extremely ill, lost a tremendous amount of weight over 33lbs, and 2 hospital admissions(1 for 6 days and the 2nd for 7 days). During his hospital admission, I could not visit with him due to strict COVID-19 visitation rules. This made his recovery process even harder, not being able to see us during one of the most challenging times of his life impacted his recovery.

On 7/30/2020 Keino rang the bell with JOY!! He was now in remission!! The oncologist stated since Keino is a healthy young man he would return to some level of normalcy over time.

April 2021, we headed to Las Vegas to my male best friends wedding. During our time in Vegas he gets sick, however, he was newly diagnosed with diabetes. We thought it was his body being out of whack and adjusting to the new meds and eating habits. 5 days later into his hospital admission, fever develops, doctor orders a MRI, according to the results his body lights up like a Christmas Tree. We never expected to get a diagnose of this magnitude a second time, the Lymphoma is back but at a Stage IV. New chemotherapy treatment, 4 cycles of inpatient chemotherapy admitted for 4-5 days every 21 days. First chemotherapy treatment started 4/26/21. Keino struggled thru these 4 treatments, on 8/4/21 Keino rang the bell again to be the last time and is now in remission.

Currently, the process has begun with the Bone Marrow Transplant team to identify a bone marrow donor. Keino's doctors feel a Bone Marrow Transplant is necessary to prevent the lymphoma from coming back so aggressive.

The Bone Marrow Transplant process requires 3-4 weeks inpatient stay, 180 day recovery process requiring 24/7 hour care for the first 100 days.

We are asking for you to consider contributing to our GoFundMe, no donation is too small.

We are seeking assistance with medical cost (that insurance does not cover), rental assistance, home care assistance, and utilities.

Thank you for every donation and prayer!
