Laura's Fight Against Cancer!

Hello Everyone.... I am asking for donations on behalf of my niece Laura as her aunt I have taken on a supportive role in her cancer survival journey.
Her story started when she felt a lump in her abdominal area, she went to the clinic and they said It was a ganglion cyst and it was nothing serious. In December 2018, the lump was still in her abdomen and she decided to have it examined. The exams led to her diagnosis of aggressive Sarcoma Grade 3. The doctors recommended she have surgery to bring her margins to negative (cancer free) in April -13-2019. Laura did the surgery and then underwent five cycles of Chemotherapy in order to prevent cell growth. At this point Chemo was being used as a preventative method. Laura underwent Chemo in June 2019 through September . We thought as a family, she beat cancer. Then in December 2020, Laura went for a follow up appointment and discovered metastasis was growing in her lungs. Metastasis is the spread of cancer from an initial primary site to a secondary site, in Laura’s case from her abdomen to her lungs. In February 2020, at another follow up, the lump “disappeared” from her CT scan of her lungs. In May 2020, Laura had another scan of her lungs and discovered three growths in her lungs. In July 2020, Laura had another scan and discovered now 6 growths in her lungs. Currently, a most recent scan in November found a number of growths, too many to count within her lung walls (as they have been growing on top of each other) it was evident Sarcoma had not left her body. The doctors recommended another series of chemo in order to fight the cancers growth, at this point chemo was not going to be used as a preventive method. One of the growths grew about 8.5 mm. Although chemotherapy didn’t completely dissolve Laura’s cancer cells. We know chemotherapy is not Laura’s only path to being cancer free, she has decided to try a holistic approach to fight her cancer at Brio-Medical. Brio- Medical is an alternative treatment center that uses holistic supplements in cases where people become unresponsive to standard cancer care.
However, Brio- Medical is located in Arizona and is more money than as a family we can afford. We want Laura to live her life to the fullest and this form of treatment can be the ticket, but we will never know until we try. Fighting Cancer comes in many forms, sometimes the forms of treatment that work for most don’t work for all. Each cancer story is different.
