My 6th Grader Left the Note
Donation protected
We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support through this act of kindness. It was suggested by close family and friends that I should start a gofundme page to support my daughter's future.
As a former student of the Dekalb Elementary School of Arts (DESA) in Avondale Estates, Georgia and current student at Houghton Academy my daughter witnessed an accident and left a note on the car that was hit. Drawing being her day to day outlet, she drew an illustration in a note to further express her empathy behind the incident and her desire for the owner to receive justice. As a child my daughter has been taught, right is right and wrong is wrong. This fund will help towards an arts scholarship to an arts institution. It will teach our communities that by doing what's right comes reward. Using freedom of expression, we will
educate our children across the nation in doing what's right, even when no one is watching, through art.
In the upcoming year, Ziarra will have a program to reach the senior citizen population. In this program, she will draw and sketch works that will be showcased in the Fruitbelt of Buffalo, NY.
