Ayman Reffat's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On May 1, 2021 our beloved friend and fellow Firefighter/Paramedic, Ayman Reffat, while on his way to work suffered a terrible motorcycle accident that has left him in critical condition. With multiple serious injuries, he will be out of work for an undetermined amount of time.
With a newborn baby, two toddlers and fiance, Elizabeth Garza (who is also a firefighter/EMT with Winthrop Harbor and an ER Technician at St. Catherine's) to support, this will truly be a life altering event for him and his family. Ayman Reffat has served as a Firefighter/Paramedic for Winthrop Harbor, Antioch, Newport Township and Zion Fire. In addition to being a Firefighter/Paramedic, he is also a rescue diver, earned Firefighter of the Year, earned the rank of Lieutenant, and is a devoted father.
The funds will help with every day expenses for his family, hospital bills, and anything else that is needed for his road to recovery. We do not know how long his recovery will take, but we do know it will be long and arduous. Our plan is to help cover a few months of expenses to take the weight off his family even for a short while.
Ayman Reffat and Elizabeth Garza spend countless hours away from home to serve the local community. They show up in one's time of need, now they need us to show up in their time of need. Please help our brother and sister by donating and keeping them and their beautiful children in your thoughts and prayers.
