Ayshawn Davis Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Proud mom Latoya with all of her children and has her arm around Ayshawn.
On Sunday September 14th, 11-year-old Ayshawn Davis was killed in a senseless drive-by shooting in Troy, NY. This little guy had talked the owner of Jimmy’s Pizzeria into letting him wash windows, wipe tables etc. to make money to help his family. I went to work for Tony’s Pizzeria just blocks away after my Mom passed when I was 11, which is why I was moved by this tragedy and felt the need to do something to help this family suffering a great loss, as well as other children like Ayshawn in our community.
After stopping to visit Ayshawn Davis’s family and taking a selfie with his mom Latoya, two of his four siblings, grandmother and great-grandmother I knew I wanted to help out and make a difference in their lives. I have created a safe place for you to donate in memory of Ayshawn Davis. I spoke with his mom Latoya and dad Tarance and asked if it was okay to raise money, aside from what I will do personally, to help the family out with personal expenses, college costs for their children and create a scholarship fund at Lansingburgh School in Ayshawn’s name.
