Ayuda a Cumplir el Último Deseo de Wilson

(Scroll for English)

Atentamente,

La familia Bartra.

From the moment Wilson Bartra came to the United State from Peru with his wife Tarsila Ramirez, he immediately began working in order to give back to his family. He was a valued worker at Marriott Hotel as a dishwasher and worked there for several years up until COVID hit in 2020 when he was laid off. For our family, he is the epitome of hard work and perseverance. He always worked to give back to his family in Peru and made sure that none of his grandchildren and children lacked anything.

Since Wilson was a young boy he struggled with a cigarette addiction that would last until the last few months of his life. Although, Wilson never had bad health issues up until this past year when COVID struck and he lost his job. He began to develop emphysema due to smoking, with that came issues with his kidneys, that ultimately resulted in stage 4 kidney failure, among various other health problems.

Wilson’s last wish was to pass away in his country, Peru. However, with how fast his health began declining he was not able to make it in time. We don’t have any family from Peru here in the U.S. and as a family we are wanting to bring him back to Peru in order to have a proper funeral with all of his family and to be buried alongside his parents.

We as a family are asking for donations in order to pay for the cost of Wilson’s medical bills, and the cost to bring his body to Peru. When he was laid off from his job in 2020, he lost his life and medical insurance which resulted in high costs of medicine and care for our family. From the bottom of all of our hearts, we would appreciate any donation possible in order to fulfill his last wish to be in his country.

We are also taking donations through Venmo.

The Bartra family.
