Family Food truck Destroyed in Flames

My parents' food truck was hit by a vehicle that collided with the back of our generator, which blew up and engulfed our food truck in flames. My mother was working the food truck when it all happened. She didn't have time to think, before she realized she was already on the floor.  Our dear mother is alive thanks to Lucio, a gentleman who works across from her. He didn't think twice about it and was able to get my mom out of the truck just in time before the fire reached her. Our beloved red food truck was fully engulfed in flames in under 15 seconds after it was struck. Something my parents worked so hard to create is no longer a part of their everyday lives anymore. Lake St. and 12th Ave was our food truck’s home for the past decade. Now the parking space is empty.

My mother suffered traumatic injuries to her body due to the impact of the explosion. She has several cuts and bruises to her legs. She has eight broken ribs and a broken pelvic bone. She will be unable to walk without the assistance of a walker. My mother will have a lot of physical therapy to go through. Her life was turned completely upside down, and all it took was 15 seconds. My parents were deeply affected by the destruction of the business and I would like those who have supported Antojitos Doña Lety all these years to join me in prayers and support for my parents and their dream of once again being a part of the community.
