Ayuda al Albergue de Fuenterroble de Salvatierra

“ He ordenado a mis ángeles que te guarden en el camino” con esa frase traducida a varios idiomas, me recibió el albergue de peregrinos dirigido por el Padre Blas en 2010. Lo que entendí después es que si hay un ángel para los peregrinos y para todos los que pasamos por su casa, es él. Me llamo Isabel Venegas Albano. Desde hace varios años soy hospitalera y voluntaria habitual del Albergue parroquial de peregrinos de Fuenterroble de Salvatierra ( Salamanca) en la Vía de la Plata. Un albergue que se sustenta únicamente con los donativos de los peregrinos. Tres días antes del confinamiento regresé a mi casa desde Fuenterroble y por eso conozco las necesidades existentes en el albergue y que se han ido acentuando por la falta de donaciones. La principal problemática: – La reparación y actualización del sistema solar de agua caliente no se ha podido terminar por carecer de los fondos necesarios. – Se ha iniciado la adaptación de todas las instalaciones a la nueva normativa del coronavirus con recursos insuficientes. – Mantenimiento del albergue, casa de acogida y gastos generales. – Casa Hungría, el nuevo proyecto con el que el padre pretendía sorprender a los peregrinos este año, también ha tenido que ser aplazado. La clara intención de este crowdfunding es devolver al Camino de Santiago un poco de lo mucho y bueno que me siempre me ha dado y además aliviar la presión económica del albergue, que mantiene alojados durante toda la crisis del coronavirus a peregrinos y personas en régimen de acogida. La cantidad propuesta sólo cubre una parte de todos los gastos, pero sería de gran ayuda para continuar. Los peregrinos sabemos que este lugar es especial, que cuando traspasas su puerta, te sientes en casa y respiras un ambiente diferente. Es un sitio donde nada se exige y todo se comparte. Creo que es justo que ayudemos al albergue para que cuando de nuevo se abran los caminos, podamos encontrar al Padre Blas como siempre, esperándonos sonriente y con los brazos abiertos. For the past few years I have volunteered on a regular basis as a host and collaborator at the parochial shelter in Fuenterroble de Salvatierra (Salamanca), along the Vía de la Plata, directed by Padre Blas. This shelter is supported exclusively by the passing pilgrims’ donations on their way to Santiago. Three days before the lockdown, I returned home from Fuenterroble and am therefore aware of the current needs of the shelter, which have been accentuated from the recent lack of donations. The existing issues are: - The repair and update of the solar energy water heating system which was interrupted due to lack of funds, - The adaptation of the facilities to the new coronavirus regulations, - Maintenance of the shelter, foster home, and general operating expenses, - The Hungarian House, an expansion of the shelter Padre Blas was working on also been postponed. The intention of this crowdfunding is to give back to the Camino some of the many and good things it has always given us, as well as to relieve Padre Blas’ economic pressure, who has continued to provide shelter during the entire lockdown to pilgrims and others in need. The proposed amount covers only part of the entire expenses needed, but it would be of big help in order to continue in operation. Those of us who are pilgrims know this is a very special place, that as soon as you walk through the door you feel at home and breathe a different air. It is a place where nothing is asked of you yet everything is shared with you. I feel it justifiable that we help Father Blas, so that when the Camino reopens we can once again find him as always, smiling and with open arms.
