Ayúdame a seguir con esta batalla

Hola, me llamo Rodrigo Madera, actualmente estoy diagnosticado con metástasis en el pulmón de un tipo de cancer llamado mixofibrosarcoma, ya son más de dos años y medio luchando contra esta enfermedad.

Después de la radioterapia y la extirpación del tumor de mi muslo derecho, todo parecía estar en orden, hasta que me hicieron el PETSCAN, el cual arrojó que el cancer había hecho metástasis en el pulmón, para lo cual empecé quimioterapia en Diciembre 2022, luego de 3 sesiones de quimioterapia, tuvieron que suspenderla ya que los tumores estaban creciendo y no estaban haciendo efecto.

Luego en Marzo de este año empece una terapia dirigida con pastillas de Pazopanib, la cual estaban funcionando bien, ya que estaban convirtiendo los tumores de mi pulmón en quistes, pero al mismo tiempo los efectos secundarios eran muy fuertes y peligrosos, dentro de ellos tuve dos episodios de neumotorax en 7 meses (Marzo y Septiembre) por lo cual deciden suspender nuevamente el tratamiento, y buscar otro tipo de quimioterapia.

Y es cuando a finales de Octubre tuve una convulsión, por la cual me hacen Resonancia Magnética en el cerebro y un Electroencefalograma, lo cual arroja una masa en el lado frontal derecho del cerebro, la cual en un principio se pensaba que era un meningioma (tumor benigno) pero luego de ver a un neurocirujano se determinó que no es un meningioma y que podría ser metástasis del Cáncer, por lo cual había dos opciones, hacer una biopsia o entrar al cerebro y sacar la masa por completo. Lo cual lo menos invasivo es sacarlo ya que no es fácil entrar en el cerebro y romper el cráneo dos veces.

Tengo mi cirugía de cerebro programada para el día 2 de Enero del 2024. Por lo cual nesecito una vez mas de su ayuda, ya que estos procedimientos son cada vez más costosos y se me complica costear todo con mi familia.

Han sido un poco más de dos años de lucha, que no han sido para nada fácil, pero seguiré luchando por mi familia y para poder ver a mi hija crecer.

Hello, my name is Rodrigo Madera, I have been diagnosed with lung metastasis from a type of cancer called myxofibrosarcoma. I have been fighting this disease for more than two and a half years.

After radiotherapy and the removal of the initial tumor on my right thigh, everything seemed to be in order, until I had a PET SCAN. It showed that the cancer had metastasized to my lungs and I started chemotherapy in December 2022. After 3 sessions they noticed the chemotherapy was not working and the tumors were growing, so it was stopped. In March of this year, I started targeted therapy with Pazopanib pills, and those were working well since they were converting my lung tumors into cysts, but at the same time, the side effects were very strong and dangerous. I had two pneumothoraxs in 7 months (March and September), and it was decided to stop treatment again and look for another type of chemotherapy.

In October I had a seizure, so they performed a brain MRI and an electroencephalogram, which revealed a mass on the right frontal side of my brain. At first, it was thought to be a meningioma ( benign tumor) but after seeing a neurosurgeon it was determined that it could be a metastasis. They gave me two options, perform a biopsy or enter the brain and remove the mass completely. It was recommended to remove the mass completely.

I have my brain surgery scheduled for January 2, 2024. Therefore, I need your help once again, since these procedures are very expensive and it is difficult for me to pay for everything.

It has been a little more than two years of struggle, which has not been easy at all, but I will continue fighting for my family and for the opportunity to see my daughter grow up.
