Queridos Familiares y amigos,

Les escribo con el corazón lleno de esperanza, pero también con la urgencia que nos dicta el tiempo. Quiero presentarles a Valeria, mi amada sobrinita de 9 años de edad, vive con sus padres y su hermanito mayor en Margarita-Venezuela, ella es una niña encantadora, llena de alegría, creatividad e inteligencia, que ha estado luchando con una fuerza admirable, prácticamente desde su nacimiento, algo por lo que no debería pasar ningún niño, fue diagnosticada con un Glioma de las vías ópticas desde los 7 meses de vida, desde entonces, su valentía y sonrisa nunca se han apagado. Hoy Valeria enfrenta un nuevo desafío en su camino, y es por esto el motivo de esta campaña de ayuda

Su historia:

Valeria luchó contra el tumor en las vías ópticas con quimioterapia a su corta edad, y por un tiempo todos pensamos que la batalla había terminado, durante este tiempo, logró una vida llena de sueños, travesuras, picardías y alegrías junto a sus familiares, amiguitos y todos los que la rodeaban. Sin embargo, un episodio convulsivo ocurrido el pasado diciembre de 2023 reveló un nuevo obstáculo: una lesión tumoral a nivel del hipocampo. El riesgo es inmenso; no solo está en juego su salud, sino también su visión. Si no actuamos con rapidez, Valeria podría perder permanentemente la capacidad de ver el mundo que la rodea.

La esperanza: Una biopsia y radiocirugía.

Para determinar la naturaleza de la lesión y ofrecer a Valeria el mejor tratamiento posible, se requiere una Biopsia por Estereotaxia seguida de una Radiocirugía y tratamientos relacionados. Todo este procedimiento, con un costo que gira alrededor de $15.000, representaría una nueva oportunidad para que Valeria siga brillando con su luz única.

El riesgo de no actuar:

De no realizarse los dos procedimientos mencionados, Valeria corre el riesgo de perder la visión permanentemente. La presión del tumor sobre el nervio óptico y el quiasma óptico, estructuras vitales para la vista, podría causar daños irreversibles.

Dear family and friends,

I am writing to you with a heart full of hope, but also with the urgency that time dictates. I want to introduce you to Valeria, my beloved 9-year-old niece, she lives with her parents and her older brother in Margarita-Venezuela, she is a lovely girl, full of joy, creativity, and intelligence, who has been fighting with admirable strength, practically since her birth, something that no child should go through, she was diagnosed with a Glioma of the optic tract since she was 7 months old, since then, her courage and smile have never been extinguished. Today Valeria faces a new challenge in her path, and this is the reason for this campaign to help.

Her story:

Valeria fought her optic tract tumor with chemotherapy at her young age, and for a while we all thought the battle was over, during this time, she achieved a life full of dreams, mischief, mischief, and joy together with her family, little friends, and everyone around her. However, a seizure that occurred last December 2023 revealed a new obstacle: a tumor lesion at the level of the hippocampus. The risk is immense; not only her health is at stake, but also her vision. If we do not act quickly, Valeria could permanently lose the ability to see the world around her.

The hope: a biopsy and radiosurgery.

To determine the nature of the lesion and offer Valeria the best possible treatment, a Stereotaxy Biopsy followed by Radiosurgery and related treatments are required. This entire procedure, with a cost revolving around $15,000, would represent a new opportunity for Valeria to continue to shine her unique light.
