Un grupo de amigos hemos unido esfuerzos una vez más, apelando a la bondad de sus corazones para que nuestra amiga Lizpi, como le llamamos de cariño, pueda vencer el cáncer de mama que hoy quebranta su salud.
Por más de 20 años hemos compartido muchos momentos que atesoramos como los recuerdos más significativos de nuestras vidas. Así como nos hemos hecho compañía en las alegrías y en la salud, hoy acompañaremos a Liz en el transitar de este camino hacia su sanación.
Camino que requiere una inversión monetaria importante, es por ello que recurrimos a esta plataforma que nos brinda la tecnología para sumar todos los aportes para que Lizpi pueda cumplir el tratamiento que ha de liberarla de este tumor maligno que hoy invade y sigue creciendo en su cuerpo. De igual modo, que pueda tener la oportunidad de reencontrarse con su mamá, a quien no ve desde hace 4 años a raíz del proceso migratorio que atraviesa hoy en día nuestro país Venezuela, y poder contar con ese apoyo y cuidados presenciales que solo el amor maternal puede brindar.

Liz Lugo, maracucha de 27 años, emigró en el 2017 a la ciudad de Santiago de Chile, Chile. El panorama político, económico y social en Venezuela empeoraba cada vez más y la calidad de vida mermó muchísimo, por lo cual Lizpi, como muchos jóvenes venezolanos, emigró en busca de mejores oportunidades para su crecimiento personal y profesional, llegándose a convertir inclusive en el principal sostén económico de su familia que aún reside en Maracaibo.
Sin embargo, su vida dio un giro de 180° al saberse diagnosticada el 05 de Febrero de 2021 con Cáncer Mamario Infiltrante (Informe Anatomo-Patológico adjunto), previa detección de Nódulo palpable en mama derecha de aspecto sospecho, aproximadamente de 61 x 52 x 22 mm, en Ecotomografía Mamaria y Axilar Bilateral de fecha 18 de Enero 2021 (Imagen e informe adjunto). A continuación, se sometió a una serie de estudios y exámenes especializados para determinar tipo y características del tumor.
El 12 de Marzo de 2021 el ciclo de exámenes finaliza y Liz recibe la peor noticia que puede recibir un ser humano: el tumor no solo está creciendo en su mama derecha, también lo ha hecho con gran rapidez en sus dos pulmones (TC de Tórax, Abdomen y Pelvis con Contraste adjunta). El médico tratante certifica que el diagnóstico es: CA en mama derecha, etapa IV con metástasis pulmonar, e indica como tratamiento Quimioterapia Paliativa (Certificado adjunto).
Los 4 ciclos de QT indicados (Protocolo de administración adjunto), serán cubiertos por la empresa aseguradora con la que ella cuenta; sin embargo, periódicamente debe repetirse ciertos estudios y exámenes médicos para monitorear el avance de la enfermedad que son de elevado costo y no están contemplados en la póliza del seguro, entre ellos tomografías computarizadas y la posibilidad de someterse a tratamiento de inmunoterapia.
El médico le indico también a nuestra amiga Lizpi reposo absoluto por lo tanto no puede trabajar, implicando esto un recorte significativo de sus ingresos en los próximos meses. Dada la pandemia del COVID-19 aun en curso, Liz entra en el grupo de pacientes de alto riesgo, por lo que debe evitar las aglomeraciones de personas pues su sistema inmunológico está comprometido. Es decir, el transporte público deja de ser una opción para ella y amerita traslados hacia y desde el centro de salud haciendo uso de servicio de transporte privado.
Liz quiere y necesita, porque emocionalmente sabemos el impacto positivo que esto tendría en ella, la compañía y apoyo presencial de su mamá durante todo el tratamiento. Es por ello que todo lo recaudado en esta campaña será para cubrir sus gastos médicos adicionales, gastos de alimentación, traslados, gestiones consulares y boleto de avión para que la Sra. Laura (su mamá) pueda reunirse con Liz lo antes posible, pues el primer ciclo de tratamiento inicia el 31 de Marzo de 2021 y el tiempo es lo más es trascendental en diagnósticos como estos.

For more than 20 years we have shared many moments that we treasure as the most significant memories of our lives. Just as we have kept each other company in our joys and health, today we will join Liz in her journey towards her healing.
Journey that requires a significant monetary investment, which is why we turn to this platform to sum all the contributions you all could share so that Lizpi can complete the treatment that will free her from this malignant tumor that, today, invades and continues to grow is her body. Likewise, she can have the opportunity to be reunited with her mother again, whom she has not seen for the past four years due to the ongoing migratory process in our country Venezuela. She would also be able to count with the support and care that only maternal love can provide.

Liz Lugo (27) from Maracaibo – Venezuela, emigrated in 2017 to the city of Santiago de Chile, Chile. She then underwent in a series of specialized studies and exams to determine the type and characteristics of the tumor.
On March 12, 2021 the cycle of examinations ends and Liz receive the worst news that a human being can receive: the tumor is not only growing in her right breast, is has also grown very quickly in both of her lungs (Chest, Abdomen and Pelvis CT with Contrast in Spanish attached). The treating physician certifies the diagnosis is: Cancer in her right breast, stage IV with pulmonary metastasis, and indicates Palliative Chemotherapy as the treatment to follow (Certificate in Spanish attached).
The 4 cycles of Chemo (Administration Protocol attached), will be covered by the insurance company she has; however, she must periodically repeat certain high-cost studies and medical examinations to monitor the illness, that are no covered by the insurance policy, including computerized tomography and the inmunotherapy treatment.
Our friend Lizpi has also been instructed by her doctor to have absolute rest, so she cannot work which means a significant cut in her income for the next months. Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Liz is now in the group of high-risk patients so she must avoid crowds because her immune system is compromised. In other words, public transportation is no longer an option for her. Therefore, she would have to pay for a private taxi or transport to travel to and from the hospital.
Liz wants and needs the company and face-to-face support of her mother throughout her treatment, we know the positive impact this would have on her recovery. This is why all the money raised from this campaign will be used to cover her additional medical expenses, food expenses, transport, consular arrangements and travel expenses so Laura can be reunited with her daughter as soon as possible.
