English GoFundMe Please, let’s help Venezuelan mountaineer, Nestor Castro walk again. Help a well-known and appreciated Venezuelan professional mountaineer and climber regain his leg mobility. Nestor needs your help to recover but he’s currently in a high risk of remaining severely disabled unless he undergoes surgical care rapidly. Hello everyone, I am María Castro. I’m writing this from the bottom of my heart, to ask for your solidarity and prayers so we can hopefully help my brother Nestor Castro, better known as @chestatuy to regain his mobility. Nestor is a Forestry Engineer from the ULA (Los Andes University), Mountaineer, Climber, rescuer, landscape photographer, collaborator of the literary project @venezuelacielo Where Venezuela Touches the Sky, and belongs to the Andean Group Kis-Nacuy, as well as the ULA’s Rescuers of the Andean Group, among many other contributions to the Mountaineering Andean Community. The unfortunate event occurred when he was climbing as he usually does in a training session, one of his passions, he unfortunately suffered a strong accident, falling off from a 20-meter height on his back in Parque La Isla, Mérida City. Right now, he’s diagnosed with a L2 and L2 vertebra fracture, along with a spinal cord injury and requires an immediate surgical intervention, if not achieved he will not be able to walk again. At this time, our family is going through a difficult economic situation, which has become even more complicated due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Venezuela’s unfortunate social and economic crisis. I ask for your kindness, help and solidarity, to reach to all your friends, acquaintances, friends of friends, friends of relatives to collaborate with whatever is in your range of possibility, and also by sharing this GoFundme Campaign you’re helping us tremendously, to afford his medical treatment and cover the expenses of his operation in the next few days. Every dollar is going to be worth it to help my brother walk again. I strongly appreciate any help and good thoughts that you can give us and I wish back that you enjoy plenty of health and well-being. We’ll be so grateful and relieved to receive any kind of help. God bless you always and thank you very much. PLEASE SHARE!
