Tax deductible
AYUDH is a volunteer organization, made up of youth aged 13-30, looking to make a positive change in their communities and the world at large.

SOME OF OUR PAST PROJECTS
AYUDH responds to the world's most pressing needs. We've mentioned a few of our past projects below.

AYUDH Connect
AYUDH believes that each person deserves the opportunity to not only comfortably, but also experience love, inspiration, and have their story heard. AYUDH called each chapter to hand out "blessing bags", filled with essentials for healthy & happy living: toiletries, female hygiene products, and personally written notes.
  • 3,500 blessing bags
  • 800 connections made
  • Project Duration: 6 months
AYUDH Give
AYUDH Give 2023 saw local chapters across North and South America come together to collect food, clothing, and hygiene products to distribute to local charities, serving communities, families, and individuals in need.
  • $6,136 in monetary donations
  • 6,950 items donated
  • Project Duration: 6 months
AYUDH Nurture
As a commitment to the preservation of our environment, each AYUDH member pledged to plant at least one tree and provide care to existing trees and invite friends and family to participate in local tree plantings across the country. AYUDH members also pledged to clean up at least 1,000 pounds of trash, which was eclipsed by a multiple of 3x with efforts across the country.
  • 3,000 lbs of trash collected
  • 1,090 trees planted
  • Project Duration: 1 year
AYUDH Serve
Far too many people go hungry each day, so AYUDH pledged to make a difference. Each chapter pledged to serve at least 1,008 meals over a year in an effort to fight hunger and nourish our community.
  • 10,000 meals served
  • Project Duration: 1 year
AYUDH Change
This project promotes the importance of mindful spending. By sacrificing unnecessary expenditures every week, AYUDH members have provided scholarships for impoverished children in Haiti, India, and Kenya.
  • 20 kids sent to school
  • Project Duration: 6 months
AYUDH Grow
AYUDH believes that we can only help people stay healthy and strong by providing the tools they need to feed themselves. Each member planted 5 vegetables as a model of sustainable farming.
  • 400 plants grown
  • Project Duration: 3 months
AYUDH Replenish
Research shows that 29% of the world's population lacks access to proper drinking water while 61% lacks access to sanitation supplies. AYUDH made sanitation bags to combat this.
  • 610 sanitation bags
  • Project Duration: 4 months
AYUDH Aware
AYUDH brought awareness to the harmful effects of plastics in our natural world, through educational events and plastic bag collection drives.
  • 2,420 plastics collected
  • Project Duration: 4 months
AYUDH Empower
AYUDH pledged to spread awareness on a range of issues affecting gender and identity through social media campaigns, empowering all members of society to create communities of love and acceptance.
  • 1,220 people reached
  • Project Duration: 6 months

WHO WE ARE
AYUDH (Amrita Youth for Unity in Diversity for Harmony, and Sanskrit for 'peace') is the youth wing of Embracing the World, a global humanitarian NGO. AYUDH aims to use the powerful force of young people to perpetuate natural harmony, social justice, and community empowerment. We work closely with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through our 20+ chapters across the Americas.

Help AYUDH Americas support youth from all around the globe as we come together and address the world's most pressing issues. In order to continue implementing our projects, we are asking for your help. Our initiatives focus on a range of social issues such as poverty, hunger, education, equality, and climate action.

OUR GOAL

During our yearly summit, we give youth a voice by coming together and deciding which issues we would like to pursue in the upcoming year. Together, we craft practical initiatives with locally implemented projects that create profound ripples of change and impact society on a massive scale. Please read more about our initiatives, progress, and achievements here.

The AYUDH Americas annual Youth Summit, brings together inspirational speakers, an international Youth Parliament, leadership & personal development workshops, hands-on projects, group discussions, games, nature walks, yoga, music, meditation & self-reflection, and more.

Our theme this year is "Together Again". AYUDH is calling on individuals to harness inner strength, self-love, self- care, and awareness as we come together for the first time since the COVID pandemic hit the world. In response to growing global violence and environmental destruction, AYUDH hopes to focus on the power of youth coming together as a catalyst for change.

AYUDH is unique in its focus in that we do not just work to support our communities through service or empowerment of young people. Rather we do this with a focus on love, compassion, and belief in the ultimate goodness of the world as espoused by Amma. All youth ages 13-30 are invited to join us for this monumental, life-changing experience.

- bringing experts, leaders, and dignitaries to meet with, inspire, and guide our youth in executing their projects, as well as holding workshops that develop and prepare the youth to serve society
