Help Support Dillon's Dream

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Candi and I am fundraising for my beautiful son Dillon, to move to Japan to teach English.
This has been his dream for as long as I can remember. He got accepted into his dream job to teach English in Japan. He is going to be moving to Japan very, very soon. For as long as I can remember, he has always loved Japanese culture and always wanted to visit Japan. He has fallen in love with teaching ever since he graduated from high school. He found his lifelong passion by teaching others along the way. He has done several teaching internships and has tutored for several years now, he truly is remarkable at what he does. Thanks to his wonderful Japanese professors at FIU, last year he applied for a job teaching English in Japan. However, he was chosen as an alternate position. For a couple of months, he was extremely sad and did not know what to do. So he kept doing what he loves, which is studying Japanese and drawing. He has been studying Japanese soon to be 4 years and has done so many incredible things but is not limited to winning a national award for "Best Promotional Video of Japanese Language" at Florida International University. He is truly incredible at what he does. He has so much to offer when he goes to Japan.
Recently, he received an upgrade and got into his dream job. It was a few days before my birthday, and we knew it was meant to be. We cried all day, tears of joy and bliss. He finally got it! As a mother, I could not be any more proud of him.
However, being a single mom; times are extremely tough financially at the moment. The company had messaged him stating that he needs to save around $3,000 ideally for living expenses until he starts getting paid in Japan. I would love for Dillon to live relatively comfortably for the first 2-3 months in Japan, so that is why we have set the goal at $2,500 for now. His down payment alone for the house is around $1000, and the possibility of having to buy appliances and other amenities is very likely, along with other things such as groceries, a computer, internet, a phone, health insurance, money for public transportation and many more things.
This is my only son's dream finally coming to fruition, and as a mother, for example, I would be destroyed to receive a phone call from my son with a 13-hour time zone difference and hear him sad because he does not have enough money to eat that day. That would shatter my heart as a mother.
Please, any amount that you can donate would be much obliged to aid my son's future in Japan and safe travels. Thank you so much for your prayers for a safe trip and a safe time in Japan. We both hope you and everyone who can donate, or even share this have a blessed day, and may God be in all of our prayers, especially for my son, Dillon.
