Help my family to evacuate from Gaza war

Hello, we are the Siksik family. Our family consists of 7 people who live in Gaza.

* Ola, 28 years old, Medical Analyst

* Duaa, 26 years old, Doctor

* Nahla, 20 years old, Student at the University

* Ibrahim, 16 years old, Student

We were living a beautiful life but because of the aggression, everything has been destroyed! Our home has been ruined from the bombing. We have nothing left. Our family has been displaced to Southern Gaza. We only have what we could travel with. We were told that this is a safe zone, unfortunately it is not. We are in the same amount of danger now in Southern Gaza as we were at home in Northern Gaza.

We have been suffering here, trying so hard to survive for more then 6 months! The only food we have is the canned food that is unhealthy and sold at exorbitant prices! We use a wood fire to cook because we do not have access to cooking fuel. The wood fire is not only incredibly dangerous but each time we have to purchase firewood to cook, it cost an extra $6. The price of cooking for our large family to have a minimal and unhealthy meal is far to much.

Water is a requirement for life but we are struggling to find clean water on a daily basis. When we are lucky enough to find it, we have to carry it all in barrels from far away places. We risk our lives to travel to these places and it is a very difficult journey to carry the water back. Even through all this, we always say Alhamdulillah for everything that Allah provides us with!

We have spent every bit of savings we had to simply maintain life. We are barely surviving, but thankful for what we have.

Many people in our family have health issues. Nahla and Aya suffer from severe asthma attacks and every time they have to cook for our family it causes them to have an attack where they are unable to breathe easily from the smoke the fire causes. Amani has Heart Disease and suffers from debilitating migraines. Fareed suffers from high Blood Pressure. We have had to risk traveling the very scary journey to the hospital many times in the last six months. We cannot explain to you how scary it is to put your family in even more danger when you are just trying to get medical help for your loved one.

Recently, Southern Gaza has been under the threat of impending invasion. We relocated our family here half a year ago because we were told we would be safe but again we have to worry that our loved ones will be martyred. Every day and even worse every night there are explosions all around us. We worry for our family, our extended family and our friends. We watched everything we loved about our beautiful land in Northern Gaza be destroyed before our eyes and we are seeing that replayed here in Southern Gaza now.

It’s heartbreaking and so incredibly scary to be in imminent danger constantly. We cannot explain how terrible this experience has been. Living conditions here are extremely difficult. The pollution in the water is causing disease to spread rapidly. We desperately want to escape this war zone and try to start our lives over where we can feel safe to close our eyes at night and know that we will open them the next morning.

We are proud people who would never beg if we had any other options but at this point we are out of all options and our children come before our pride! Please consider helping us! Thank you very much for your time!
