Azucena & Viera

On 3/31/24 and 4/1/2024, heaven welcomed two of its most beautiful angels. Early on Easter Sunday morning, there was a devastating car accident. Azucena (32) and her family were rushed to the hospital, but tragically, she succumbed to her injuries. Their baby girl, Viera Rose (1.5 months), put up a good fight, but it was a fight she didn't win, and she joined her mama the next day. It's a heartbreak I am struggling to put into words.

They are survived by Azucena's husband and father, Mario (35), who was pretty banged up but is expected to make a full recovery, and their son and brother, Echo (2), who miraculously walked away without injury.

Azucena (or Lily, as many knew her) was the most beautiful person inside and out. She loved music, going to concerts, baking, delicious food and traveling, but more than anything, she loved her family. She was an amazing mom, wife, sister, daughter, daughter-in-law, aunt, and friend. She was my best friend.

As I come to terms with this unthinkable loss, my heart aches for her family. I know the road ahead won't be easy, but I am determined to ease their burden however I can. That's why I've set up this GoFundMe - to honor Azucena and her little one and to provide support for their family during this devastating time.

Your support, big or small, will go towards funeral expenses, Mario's recovery, and helping with the care of their son, Echo. Let's come together as a community to show our love and support for Azucena and their precious daughter, Viera.

Thank you for your support. Let's keep Azucena's and Baby V's memory alive and help her family through this heartbreaking time.

Details of their celebration of life will be announced as soon as they are finalized.

You can also join the Meal Train to help Mario and Echo in the coming days.
