BACK TO LEBANON TO PRAY
Donation protected
Warm Greetings, my name is Azul Thomé born in Lebanon in 1966.
Like many of you, since the 7th Oct 2023, my heart and soul have been deeply impacted - we have all been changed by the horrors we have witnessed and keep witnessing.
As an eARTh artist and sacred activist, author and mentor I need to put myself, my body and soul in service to Life, to all lives.
After much soul searching and rearranging of all other plans I am to go to the source, back to Lebanon to Pray and be as near as Gaza as I possibly can.
Lebanon is the land that saw me born, saw me as a child of 9 in the war of 1975, as a social worker for the Red Cross at 18, as a volunteer for SOS Children at 30.
Now at 57, having cried and screamed at the horror done to the children, our children, I have made the decision to leave Brussels, where I find myself now after work, to go to Lebanon on the 30th November and stay in Beirut as long as I am needed and safe.
As a displaced Lebanese woman/mother, as an artist and a soul activist - to pray, to paint, to weave, to meet with artists, activists, farmers, journalists, lovers of life, and all who are engaged in protecting the lives of all peoples. Ceremonies will emerge.
Life is to be beautiful, healthy and protected for all. That is what I will serve.
I need your support to get there (flight), stay there (renting a room), eat and transport myself, bring essential goods of medicine (systemic collapse is happening in Lebanon now as well as being bombed in the south and to navigate the unpredictable.
I will start by staying one month and take it from there.
When the wifi permits (not always working) I will send news of what emerges of my actions and prayers - to support life, beauty, truth and justice.
Thank you for your support

NEW MESSAGES:
When I painted this image many moons ago -of the black and white Ravens- it was to give an altar to the magician in me
The one that stays with the troubles, with the pain, the grief, the fury, the frustration, the aches of the heart and soul and sings to it…
Sings to it and hold…hold the pressure…breathe…hold through the decomposition…hold…hold through the composting…hold…breathe…hold through the integration…hold through and towards :
the métabolisation of the pain …
Over and over again it goes something like that…not in an orderly manner surely!
Holding the pressure is an active prayer that can turn the suffering:
into becoming a remedy for our world
Into arts of all kinds and gendre, troubadours, poets, musicians and all
Into the creation of a garden or the planting of trees we will never see grow
When our larger family suffer more than us we can do this for and with them…it is called compassion and interconnection
There is still quite a bit to prepare to navigate through the maze of our desperately controlling modern collapsing world to travel to Lebanon on Thursday
After 12 years away I am returning to pray with the troubles
To meet with the people who stand for beauty, solidarity and peace for all.
This morning I have decided to take my drum and my weaving tools. My paint brushes and inks.
I will also take things a few people there have asked me to bring that they cannot find there anymore
Thank you so much for your support the last few days , financial and otherwise.
