This fundraiser embodies a life-long dream of becoming an educator, and I became just that!  Not only that, but I am literally online reading to  children, exciting, wonderful books on a platform that will reach young readers around the world!  This has not only been a childhood dream coming true, but a vision that was almost snatched away nine years ago when I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and having a sister succumb to that monster made me fight!  BUT I am STILL HERE!   Not only am I STILL HERE,  I now have the opportunity this year to publish MY OWN CHILDREN'S BOOK!   I My appeal is that I would be so grateful, honored and appreciative to  have YOU along side me in my journey, knowing that YOU are helping me to reach children through literacy and to become the first published author of children's books in our family!  To my late mother and father, who are not able to witness what they have instilled in me, your labor has NOT been in vain!
