Hi my name is Shaneka and I am CEO of Helping Families In Rockford. I am doing a fundraiser because during the pandemic we were about to have our storage unit auctioned off because we could not keep up with the monthly payments of $200. This nonprofit organization has been operating for four years now and we have paid out of pocket 10,000.00 with no help the the last four years to keep all of the free donations from the community and local businesses in a storage unit. Yearly we adopt families for Thanksgiving and Christmas and we do a local coat giveaway yearly around the winter time giving out over 200 coats and winter items.

This nonprofit organization is very much operating off of free donations from the community. We have serviced over 1000 families in the community and surrounding areas by doing local thrifty giveaways and having families reach out to our nonprofit organization for donations.

We except donations like baby clothes, diapers, baby food, baby furniture, kids clothes, adult clothes and shoes, household products, dishes, hygiene products, small household furniture and appliances. We are asking for your help to raise the money to help pay for our storage monthly until we can find another location in the community for all of our donations to be housed without paying a lot of money to operate this nonprofit organization.
