British Telemark
British telemark skiing is one of the great snowsport success stories and currently lies fifth internationally in the FIS Telemark World Cup tour national rankings. Telemark skiing receives no UK Sport funding as it is currently not an Olympic sport. As amateur competitors, all British telemark skiers are self-funded and to compete they have to find the money to cover training and competition costs themselves. It is an uphill task.
This fund raiser will be used to support the athletes in competition and the performance development programmes on which they depend. In addition, with success it will be used to encourage more athletes to become competitive telemark skiers for the future of the sport.
Help us to spread the word. All support will be gratefully received and very much appreciated however big or small. A huge thank you from everyone at GB Telemark!
All of your donations will go into the British Telemark Futures Fund which is a UK charity fund specially created to supercharge your donations with 25% Gift Aid before being used to support our athletes and training programmes. The money will be directed to the very best possible use by the British Telemark Futures Fund’s experienced and knowledgeable nomination panel including ex-competitive telemark skiers and national coaching representation.
