Family in desperate need

Hello everyone. we are fundraising to help raise some money for my son, Chris whilst he undergoes chemotherapy and has to take several months off work.

When you think of a family man, you should all think of Chris. He has done and always will do everything he can to provide for his five children and give them everything they need. He is a grafter and has fought throughout all his children’s lives to work and earn the money so that they have everything they could possibly need.

Earlier in June, Chris had to have an operation after finding a lump. The doctors assured him this was the best route to prevent any spread of cancer. He was informed he would need to take 6 weeks off work to recover, but Chris being Chris took only two weeks off before he was back at it providing for his family. Unfortunately, after his check ups the doctors have said that it has in fact spread towards his kidneys and he will need to undergo extensive chemotherapy treatment to beat the disease starting mid July.

For Chris and his family this means losing out on his income as he is a self-employed man. With no help from employees and no government help , trying to support his children during this time is going to be troubling. His fiance, and mother to the children, will be the sole provider but even she will need to take time off work to look after the children whilst Chris is in hospital for 4 days a week, whilst also ensuring that Chris has transport to and from the hospital and full all around care whilst at home. Knowing Chris, all he’ll want to do is get back to work and ensuring his family is provided for, all we’re trying to do is ensure that he doesn’t need to do this.
