Help Lexi Ride the Wave: Fighting Stage 2 Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
Meet Lexi, a 24-year-old ocean-loving, surf-riding, adventure-seeking soul. Born and raised in Oahu, HI, Lexi's heart beats in time with the waves, and her love for the ocean has always been her guiding force.
But now, the ocean has brought her a wave she never expected—stage 2 breast cancer.
In the past few months, Lexi has had to make some incredibly tough life and financial decisions. On top of thousands of dollars already spent on ultrasounds, biopsies, and scans, she’s also had to pay over $11,000 to freeze her eggs to preserve her dreams of one day having a family. And over the next year, Lexi will continue to face the significant financial burden of the costs associated with 4.5 months of chemotherapy, followed by possible radiation, a double mastectomy and reconstruction involving three separate surgeries, and physical therapy.
Lexi’s dad was her first hero, her guiding star in life, and her best friend. Sadly, the Klimpl family lost him to cancer when Lexi was just 18. Cancer is an unimaginable challenge to endure once, let alone twice, but if there’s one thing the Klimpl women are, it’s scrappy fighters. Even with Dad no longer here, his love continues to strengthen her every day. Lexi is determined to honor his memory by fighting this battle with the same courage he showed in his own fight.

Now, as Lexi faces the road to recovery, she needs our help. Medical bills and ongoing treatments have added a financial burden on top of everything else. We’re reaching out to our community, to those who know Lexi and those who don’t, but who feel moved by her story, to help her ride this wave and come out stronger on the other side. Your support, no matter the size, will help Lexi focus on healing and getting back to the things she loves—surfing, traveling, and living life to the fullest.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity and for being a part of Lexi’s journey. Let’s help her catch this wave and ride it with all the love and strength we can give.
