Support Maria's Family in Their Time of Need

Hello, my name is Karissa. Maria is one of my dearest friends. I’m starting this GoFundMe for Maria and her family, who have been through so many ups and downs the past couple of months. Maria had multiple strokes in the beginning of February; she also suffered hemorrhaging in the brain due to a very hard fall. Anyone who knows Maria knows she is one tough cookie, so she fought long and hard and had some really good and hopeful days in between.

Today, Sunday, March 23rd, 2025, Maria passed away peacefully and comfortably, surrounded by her daughter Xochitl and family at Kaiser Hospital. Maria wasn’t only tough and spunky; she was a beautiful person, a person everyone loved because she loved the heck out of her people, and she would do absolutely anything for them. Maria would take the shirt off her back to make sure you were covered! I’m really hoping everyone could pitch in and do the same for her.

Maria truly was a diamond, and anyone who took the time to really get to know her knows that. With the outrageous medical expenses and the time needed to take off work to be present for Maria and her care, it has put her family in a financial hardship, and they want to give Maria everything she deserves. Everything donated will go towards making sure Maria will be able to rest peacefully. This isn’t goodbye, our beautiful Maria; it is just see you later ♥️ She will be greatly missed by everyone who loves her dearly. Thank you so much God bless you all!
