Help Khaled and Amira relocate their children to Greece

Hello! My name is Tess, and I'm from Cincinnati, Ohio. I'm fundraising on behalf of my friends, the Muhammed- Aburaida family: Khaled, Amira, and their three beautiful children- Amir, age 5, Ella, age 4, and Ilan, who is just about a year old.

Thanks to great collaborative support in the early months of 2024, the family was evacuated from Gaza to Egypt in April, where they are currently still living in safety, if not prosperity.

At this stage in the journey, Khaled is currently in Greece applying for protected asylum for himself, his wife, and three children. In Egypt, displaced Palestinians are offered little to no support and are not even able to get jobs. In Greece, employment and some supports will be available to them as protected refugees. Khaled has all the correct documents and paper ready to submit to finalize the process and bring his wife and children to join him in Greece, but filing the official documents comes with a 1,000 Euro fee.

At the moment, this is our primary objective: to raise another 1,000 dollars to get this stage of the journey complete, and the family reunited in a country where they will have more opportunity and stability.

When I started this campaign in the very early days of this year, I was simply hoping to raise enough money to prevent this little family from starving in Gaza. Thanks to the generosity of many, not only are they not at risk of starving but they are safe from bombing and full-scale famine. This shows the power we all have together to positively impact each other's lives. We can continue to be pillars of support now by helping them relocate from Egypt to Greece. I hope we will continue to support Khaled and Amira outside of Gaza as they try to rebuild a positive life for their beautiful children.
