In memory of Baby axel

Baby axel was born on December 12th 2023. Shortly after birth axel gained his wings to heaven. This is a extremely devastating loss to our family. With christmas right around the corner we are hit with the devastating financial burden and struggling to figure out how to pay for his cremation.

Hi my name is Erica and I'm raising funds to help my husband and I prepare for the loss and cremation of our son axel. At 13 weeks pregnant is when our entire world fell apart. Our son was diagnosed with BOO also known as Bladder outlet obstruction. I was referred to Milwaukee children's hospital fetal concerns department in hopes that we would have a fighting chance. After extensive research and testing and multiple ultrasounds my amniotic fluid became critically low. Essentially due to the obstruction my son's kidneys started to fail. We still had high hopes that one of the procedures could worked but due to my own health issues no procedures were an option. At 18 weeks we were referred down to Chicago children's hospital fetal department in hopes that they could try something to help save my son. Sadly after 7 hours of waiting after extensive MRI and ultrasounds the drs had told us that the kidneys had begun to shut down and that the kidneys were not producing and urine. This only devastated us even more. Now at 20 weeks after meeting again with Milwaukee we are told that everything has begun to shut down, his heart rate is beginning to slow down. We now prepare for delivery and his funeral. This has taken a severe financial toll on our family. I have been out of work since finding out how severe everything is. My husband has been out of work half of the time. We are asking for anything to help get us through this very tough time. No parent should have to put their child to rest. Any amount will do, I get we all have our own hardships any amount would be greatly appreciated
