Support Matt's Road to Recovery

In late December, our Director of Golf, Matt Mitchell was diagnosed with Colon cancer.  After many doctor’s appointments, referrals, and a second opinion, he started his road to recovery on Tuesday, February 8th, with his first Chemotherapy treatment.

 

His prognosis is good, and Matt will continue to work throughout treatment. The current plan is for 8 chemo treatments over 16 weeks, followed by 5 weeks of radiation and then chemo pills.

 

Following treatment, surgery will most likely be needed. While his health insurance is good, there are expenses that insurance doesn't cover in excess of his deductible and out-of-pocket insurance requirements.

 

With a son in medical school and a daughter in college, this puts the Mitchell family under a financial burden they did not plan for.

 

Matt has been with Club Corp for 20 years and is admired by his colleagues. Matt has made a positive impact on our members, the Timarron staff, and the community. In addition to the GoFundMe account, Club Corp and their Employee Partner Care Foundation have been able to provide a small amount of financial assistance to help Matt as he begins this journey.  In return, we would like to positively impact his life by assisting with the expenses associated with his recovery.
