Hi everyone, we have some very exciting news to share, and we really need your help!

7 Simply Judo players have qualified, and have been selected to represent Northern Ireland at this Summer’s Commonwealth Judo Championships in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

Unfortunately, this event is completely self-funded, and will cost each player around £2,000 for flights, accommodation, entry fee and transfers.

Our qualified players include this year’s Junior & Senior Northern Ireland Champion Kirsten Millar, Northern Ireland Senior Champion Conor Kelly, Northern Ireland Junior Champion Daniel Nicholson, All-Ireland Medallist Alex Kelly and Northern Ireland Performance Programme Athlete Luke Montgomery.

In the Masters categories, current NI and British Champion Iain Kelly will compete along with Scott Mayne (current British Masters Silver Medallist) who will also be the Northern Ireland Team Manager for these Championships. Mark Montgomery will be travelling as a coach to the team.
