Amanda Dungan's 2nd Cancer Battle
Donation protected
In 2017, Amanda Dungan, a mother of three, was diagnosed with stage 3 glioma, an inoperable brain tumor. Amanda's team of doctors did not expect her to see another year.
Amanda's cancer battle took her to multiple medical facilities in several states throughout the Southeastern United States. With the assistance of skilled medical professionals and championed by cancer warrior advocates, Amanda fought cancer and showed true lioness courage while taking chemotherapy and radiation as she parented three school-aged children (shown below),
In 2021, the nightmare call came in a second time. Cancer has raised its ugly head once again. Amanda's prognosis has yet to be determined but there are now two masses in the same area of Amanda's brain whereas only one mass was found in 2017.
Fundraising: Cancer doesn't stop, and neither will Amanda. Any financial support she receives is greatly appreciated and will go directly to Amanda minus any required administrative fees per fundraising websites or required guidelines as outlined on GoFundMe, Facebook Fundraisers, etc.
Why This is Needed: Due to the pandemic, support systems are at an all-time low for everyone and this is particularly devastating for those impacted by conditions such as cancer.
Sharing of Information: During the coming days and weeks ahead, additional information will be shared via social media, email, and on a designed website.
How Your Donation Is Used: Your donation will go to offset costs associated with medical care, transportation, running a single-parent household, etc.
Other Ways to Help: TBA by a core group of supporters through social media and email. Amanda will greatly benefit from assistance with meal prep, shopping, and other activities of daily living.
In Closing: Your assistance is greatly appreciated during this difficult time as we pull together to help a strong woman known to advocate and stand up for those who need it most. Together, we can accomplish so much.
If you wish to contribute in-kind goods or services, please contact the fundraiser organizers.
We appreciate your assistance and consideration! Together, we can accomplish so much!
