Conservation Efforts

The Algoma Fish and Game Club is working to support the local deer population who is suffering the effects of this long cold winter. They cannot travel through the deep snow to feed or escape predators. They are not able to get to their normal feed sources under the snow. We have packed some trails and brought cedar boughs, but it only took a few days for that food source to disappear.  We need to purchase an emergency supply of deer feed to continue our efforts. 

All of our initiatives are volunteer driven, should we raise more funds than the deer need in this emergency situation, we will use the excess to continue to support local conservation and/or outdoor activity access points.
