Sanussi’s Family Fund

My young Uncle Sanussi was a family man till his very last moment. During the catastrophic floods that hit Darnah, Libya my uncle’s family was woken up at 2 am to their entire apartment filling up with water. In minutes he rushed to lift his 3 young children and wife onto floating furniture before the walls collapsed and he was tragically swept away with the forceful current into the darkness. Not only did my cousins lose their father, who was their sole provider, they were left with only the clothes on their back and an empty lot where their humble home used to be.
Make your good deed be to support the young lives my Uncle sacrificed his own life for.
Sanussi was an excellent swimmer, was somehow consistently always in a good mood, and the exact definition of a gentle soul. Although there was much to complain about during his life (losing his father at a young age, not being paid a livable wage, having to hustle even though he was an educated man), he was never one to dwell on the negative. He is lived on by his 11 year old twins, 7 year old son and wife.
