The Smiling Coast Foundation partners with Big Dreams Inc to raise $15,000 needed to match an anonymous US-based donor, to ship the first in a series of 40 ft. containers of essential medical supplies, Biomed equipment and medicine to targeted hospitals and clinics in the Gambia.

With over 15 years of combined experience in humanitarian aid to the Gambia, The Smiling Coast Foundation and Big Dreams Inc, have joined forces under the guidance of US-based NGO, The Praise House Project Inc and its International Health, Development & Fundraising Advisor to ship these essential medical supplies to those areas most in need.

“We are inviting both local and international partners and donors to support our efforts to bring as many resources and supplies to the Gambia as possible at this critical time.” says Bubacarr Manneh, the founder of the Smiling Coast Foundation, “In areas where one box of hospital gloves makes a big difference, we can help to deliver a container load.”

Due to Global Warming, Gambian continues to suffer from flooding and a significant loss of housing, income and resources during the months of the rainy season. This year we want to raise funds with the help of our international community to help families rebuild and prepare for the coming season.

For the past 3 years, the Smiling Coast Foundation has worked with its international community of allies and organizations to support food distribution during Ramadan and beyond in The Gambia. As a Gambian-based nonprofit organization, we identify those most in need to deliver food supplies during this most sacred time of year. With cash donations from abroad, we mobilize a vast network of young volunteers, purchase from local vendors, and engage our taxi and bus driver entrepreneurs to distribute resources throughout our small country.
