Ethan Schmidt: Eagle Scout Project

Hello,

My name is Ethan Schmidt, and I am a Life Scout in troop 642 located at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, Houston, Texas. I am currently working towards my Eagle Scout rank and have decided to team up with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP: https://www.shpbeds.org/) to build beds for children in need.

SHP is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to provide children with a safe, comfortable place to rest, something even more critical during this pandemic. With people spending more time at home, it is essential to stay optimistic and healthy.

My eagle project will consist of the construction of twin-sized beds on May 22. My goal is to raise $6500, all of which will go towards purchasing supplies for construction, mattresses, and bedding.
