Jake’s Medical Expenses

Jake is such a Trooper, if you have it in your heart to help this family out, any amount will help with travel expenses and medical costs.

Well, these are not words I ever wanted to hear or type. We got the pathology back from Jakes brain surgery today. It is indeed the same cancer, but not a good prognosis. We have a lot of decisions to make. They will treat it like we are fighting to cure, but told us at some point we will have to make a decision how far we want to go. Buying time versus quality of life. They have talked to us about hospice care working closely. I thought I had a broken heart before. I think it shattered into a million pieces today. Jake took it very well. He is a trooper. He has the outlook that he can beat this and if not he knows where he is going. Through the breakdown today he has been the one to joke and lift us up. Please pray as we go forward with treatment. I do know we will be doing radiation. We will have to weigh the benefits of chemo when the time comes to make that decision. He is at a very high risk of stroke where the tumor is. If anyone can make it through this impossible prognosis it is Jake.
All I do know is since Jakes first cancer fight I have always looked around, and been so thankful for every Moment. I have had so many times that I think I want to remember life just like this. I am grateful for many extra moments God has allowed us these last four and a half years. I am praying for many more. This prognosis seems impossible and final, but God is the only one who knows the number of our days.
