Dear Family and Friends,

The Wallace family needs our help.

On Friday, March 22, Ryan Wallace was killed in a tragic car accident outside of Austin, TX. Ryan was the son of Morgan Wallace, General Field Superintendent and brother of Morgan Wallace III, Senior Project Manager who have worked with Largo for 25 and 12 years, respectively. Less than a month ago, the Wallace family also lost their family’s matriarch, Shirley, whose funeral Morgan couldn’t even attend as he was in Texas handing the aftermath of his son’s passing. Words cannot even begin to describe the grief Morgan, his wife Lilly, daughter Diana and Morgan III are experiencing at this time.

This is a family in crisis, and they need our support. Over the years, the Wallace family has been overly generous with their time and support for multiple causes including coaching, mentorship, and corporate guidance, and we’re hoping to show our gratitude through this fundraiser in their time of need. In this time of immense grief, we’d like to elevate the Wallace family and support them in the same way they have supported us for years. Funeral expenses can weigh heavily on a family already grappling with loss, and we hope to alleviate some of this financial burden through your generosity.

The late Ryan Wallace is a shining example of the caliber of individuals this family possesses. A brilliant Ph.D. student at the University of Texas, TX, Ryan’s only mission in life was to elevate the lives of those around him. This is evidenced by the “Science and the News” course which he designed and taught at UT for three years. Essentially a multimedia reporting class, the course focuses on teaching researchers and non-journalists how to think and act like journalists so they can engage with news media to better convey their message. Ryan began his higher education career with the goal of becoming an oncologist with a BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (2013) from the University of California, Irvine, and a MS in Biotechnology (2017) from California State University, San Marcos. Upon arriving at UT, Ryan realized he could make a greater impact on many more lives by becoming a science communications specialist which led him to social sciences.

Let us come together as a community to support the Wallace family in their time of need and to celebrate the life of Ryan Wallace, a kind-hearted soul who touched so many lives with his patience, love, and positivity. Thank you for your support, prayers, and love during this challenging time.
