Taddie Home Rebuilding Efforts

The IUP Cross Country and Track & Field team are looking to help raise money for the Taddie family after their home was lost to a fire in the middle of the night on April 4th (see Indiana Gazette story/photo link above). Both Michelle and Alyssa Taddie were members of the IUP Track & Field team, with Michelle graduating in 2011 and Alyssa in 2013. Alyssa also ran cross country for us through 2009-2012, and helped our women's team qualify for the NCAA Championships in 2012. The Taddie's had lived in their house in Homer City, PA for 25 years and will be looking to rebuild in the coming months. Our goal is for this project to help the family with anything they need in the meantime, whether its clothing, personal items, linens, dishware, etc. etc. I don't think most of us realize all of the things that we have in our homes that we would have to replace if we lost nearly everything that we own. My hope is that this fund helps ease that burden, so the family can focus on their rebuilding efforts, and know how many people are thinking of them and want to help out!
