The Fischmanns Fight
Donation protected
In late July 2018, Rudy Fischmann, (known in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu community as "Rudini" and "The Mighty Mongoose") was diagnosed with brain cancer. Two very urgent brain surgeries ensued, one of which was an emergency surgery to save his life. As a result, Rudy's resilience many of us know well is in full force, combating the physically demanding chemo and radiation therapy. Rudy is very fortunate to have both the love and support of his wife and two daughters, and he is also fortunate to have good health insurance (and he will tell you that he might well be dead if not for the good insurance). Nevertheless, the expenses are bound to pile up quickly, well into the tens (and possibly hundreds) of thousands of dollars. Here's a quick link to Rudy's "Brain Cancer Diaries":

You may know Rudy from the film industry, the BJJ community, out the vast network of friends the Fischmann family has amassed because of the amazing people they are. If you're here simply out of generosity and don't know Rudy, know that you are supporting someone who has been a force for peace and kindness whenever, wherever. Every donation will help to ease the family's collective debt burden, not to mention make life just a little better for Rudy (actually, a LOT better - he really appreciates the support, and a positive mental attitude is among the most important pieces to making a recovery a reality).
