Sofia's Leukemia Fight
Donation protected
On Feb. 20th, 2018 my sweet 6 year old niece was diagnosed with B cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). She began with receiving 2 units of blood and a unit of platelets with more to come. She began her first round of chemo. After a few long nights in the hospital she was released to go home to begin her other treatments. It took a fast turn and her fever spiked. She went from a month stay in the hospital to now a new diagnosis. Her bone marrow biopsy results revealed that she has a fairly new strain of leukemia which is the iAMP21 which puts her at three times the risk of relapse. Only about 2% of the cases of leukemia are this type of DNA. She must now go through more aggressive treatments and more aggressive chemo. She will also have more hospital stays. Financial hardships will increase with both parents taking time off work to be there for her and her little sister. I am asking for help in sharing her story. Donations will assist in her hospital stays, treatments, medications and any other financial help needed. A little bit goes a long way and any help through her stressful journey will be greatly appreciated. #HelpSuperSofia win this fight!
