Ashlyn’s Accident Recovery
Many of you may already know about the tragic accident Ashlyn was involved in yesterday with her friend Maddie. Her injuries are extensive and she’s not yet woken up. We are thankful she is at Tufts Medical Center in Boston and is surrounded by an incredible team of specialists and doctors. Tests are being done every couple hours to check on her brain function as well as checking on reflexes and to see if they can get her to open her eyes or give her parents hand a squeeze. Ashlyn is on a long road to recovery. Even though it is the last thing on their minds expenses do add up quickly and insurance only covers so much. Any contribution that you are able to make would be greatly appreciated because every little bit helps!
From Hudson N.H. Police Department
On April 15, 2021, at about 9:48 AM, Hudson Police and Hudson Fire Department Personnel responded to Dracut Road near Pine Road for a report of two vehicle collision and possible entrapment.
Upon arrival, members of Hudson Fire Department immediately began treatment for injured parties. Hudson Officers began an investigation. Through the initial investigation it was determined a 2006 Toyota Avalon was operating east on Pine Road approaching the stop sign at Dracut Road. It was operated by 16 year old Hudson resident. It was also occupied by a 15 year old Hudson resident seated in the front passenger area. A 2007 Volvo Dump Truck operated by Robert Spadjinske, 57 years old, of Troy, NH, was traveling north on Dracut Road approaching Pine Road.
The Toyota attempted to cross the Dracut Road to Sanders Road and collided with the Volvo Dump Truck. Both vehicles came to a rest on the lawn of a Dracut Road residence, north of Pine and Sanders Road.
The 15 year old Toyota passenger was Med-Flighted to Tufts Medical Center for life threatening injures. The 16 year old Toyota operator was taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center by Hudson Fire Ambulance for possible serious bodily injury. The operator of the Dump Truck was apparently attended to on scene and refused any further medical treatment.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Hudson Police Collision Investigation Reconstruction Team. State Police Troop G was contacted to assist due to the commercial vehicle involvement. Anyone who witnessed the collision can contact Captain David Bianchi
