"Vanity" is a short thriller BA Thesis film that addresses the issues of ageism and sexism that women in Hollywood still have to face today.
Unfortunately, the trend of women having a much earlier expiration date than their male counterparts is still a very real obstacle in the entertainment industry today. With this film, we're trying to tell the story of just that, while also imagining what could happen if it's taken a little too far.
To get this film off the ground, we ask you for any contributions to reach our goal of $2,000. Your donations will contribute to: equipment rentals, transportation for cast and crew, shooting on location, making sure our crew is fed, and (possibly) money for festival distribution fees. We will be shooting in late March and will have the final project released by late April/early May. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated, we will be sure to keep you in the loop as we progress!
