West Manchester Township Police K9 startup

The West Manchester Township Police Department is looking to add a K9 to their ranks!

My name is Brad Cleck and I am a West Manchester officer currently assigned as the School Resource Officer for West York High School. Being a K9 officer is something I have desired since becoming an officer in 2006 and I was grateful to have been recently selected for this position.

This K9 will not only serve the citizens of West Manchester Township, but will be available to assist neighboring agencies in times of need.

Obtaining a K9 is more than just the dog itself. It involves buying a specially up-fitted vehicle with a cage, secondary air conditioning unit, a heat alarm, etc. as well as kennel and a ballistic vest. In addition, the officer assigned must receive specialized training. All of these items coupled together can become quite expensive. That’s where we need YOUR help. We are seeking donations to help offset these costs.
