Baby Barrett

Barrett (Bear) Johnson made his arrival Friday, May 26th to his amazing parents Andrew & Sarah Johnson. They were so excited & couldn't wait to snuggle him & enjoy being new parents. Just a few short hours after he was born a nurse noticed his coloring wasn't quite right. The routine checks she did on him would become their worst nightmare. They learned Barrett had a serious heart defect that wasn't allowing his blood to be oxygenated. Best way to describe it is his arteries are "hooked up" incorrectly. This sweet baby faces open heart surgery sometime this week.
Andrew & Sarah are forever greatful for the nurse who decided to check into things or this could have turned out even worse. Barrett will be in the NICU while he recovers, which will be at least a month. Please help this family with medical costs & other expenses they will face. Also keep this sweet family in your prayers!
