Baby Blaze's Medical Expenses

One of our team members, Cash Barker, and his wife, Nichole, recently welcomed their first child, Blaze, into the world. Baby Blaze was unexpectedly born 11 weeks premature on October 8th - just only four days after the loss of Nichole’s mother. For the next three days, Nichole was hospitalized and recovering from multiple emergency surgeries while Baby Blaze was transferred to Texas Children's Hospital NICU. The next several weeks following were a rollercoaster of ups and downs. Baby Blaze had dropped as low as 1lb 15oz during her NICU stay but has since notched the 5lb mark!

Cash and Nichole have made the most of their time with Baby Blaze, making sure to be at the hospital for her special milestones: including the first diaper change, the first skin-to-skin contact, the first time Baby Blaze opened her eyes, and the first bottle feeding. Finding a work/life balance (or work/hospital balance) has been challenging for Cash and Nichole. Baby Blaze's medical care and ongoing physical therapy expenses will increase. To help ease the financial burden for the new family, we are asking for your kindness and generosity.
