Baby Connor Watson family support fund
Donation protected
Generally when a friend or a family member welcomes their new born into the world we shower them with gifts (baby clothes, bouquets of nappies, soft toys, books etc), but when a new born has a medical condition these items are not warranted yet we all want to show our love and support in someway or another.
Connor Simon Watson was born on Monday 25 January 2020 at 9.03 am weighing 6 lbs 6 oz (3.03 kg) and 47 cm long. Connor has a Congenital Heart Defect called Transposition of the Great Arteries.

At ten days old he underwent open heart surgery.
Mum and Dad are normally based in country Victoria but have actually been living in Melbourne now for 13 weeks (as Tracey was required to be located at the Mercy Hospital due to complications linked with her pregnancy, unrelated to Connors condition).
Neither Scott nor Tracey have worked for a longtime due to COVID and the bills continue to stack up for their home they have not lived in for a long time.
Therefore, we are setting up this go fund me page to assist with their living expenses as they continue to live in Melbourne, in emergency accomodation, and still are required to pay for medication for Tracey's recovery as well as for food and general day to day living items. Generally it costs around $200 a day for the both of them.
We do appreciate many of you are doing it tough during this global pandemic, so of course please don't feel obliged to donate, but know that the money will be going directly to Tracey and Scott to assist them during this incredibly difficult time, and with the fact no one knows how long they will need to continue to be at the Royal Childrens Hospital with Baby Connor.
Here are some of the items your donation will assist with:
- 2 x Fresh fruit and vegetable juice from Boost everyday = $12
-Lunch at one of the many onsite cafes (hospital food has still not improved over the years!) = $20
-Stress relieving massage (available on site at the hospital) = $50
-Dinner at a restaurant near the hospital, but giving Tracey and Scott an opportunity to have some much needed time out to be able to breathe and talk about their emotions and schedule for the next day = $70
We all wish we could help in any way we can, and as a mother of a heartchild I can categorically tell you these items listed above will seriously help their mental and physical health, as well as reduce the financial worry that they are currently under.
Thank you #teamwatson
