Baby Corwin

Hey! My name is Cassie Arias and I am asking support for Ciara, Mitch, and baby Corwin. On November 24th, they went to their OB for their 24 week follow up sonogram and check examination due to concern of cervical length. It was then confirmed that Ciara was 1-2 cm dilated, 90% effaced, and diagnosed with an incompetent cervix. She was immediately admitted into the labor and delivery unit at Wesley Medical Center where she would be on strict hospital bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy. Upon arrival, magnesium IV and steroid injections were administered to aid in the maturity of baby's brain and lung development, along with continuous monitoring of baby's HR and contractions. There interventions were taken as a precautionary measure in the event the baby delivered prematurely.

On Sunday , November 28th, Ciara's water broke and was given antibiotics to combat any potential infection. Baby remains stable at this time and the goal is for him to remain in the womb for as long as possible. Once baby arrives he will remain in NICU until close to the original due date in March.

During this challenge they continue to grateful for the level of care provided and know they are in great hands. However, this does not come without added costs. Mitch and Ciara would be humbly thankful for your generosity and support. We also believe in the power of prayer and ask that you would pray for their family in this time of need.
