My sister & her husband were blessed with their 5th baby, Elena Marie, via homebirth on July 23rd, 2023. Elena was born with Down Syndrome and was brought to Children’s Hospital in Minnesota after James and Sophie realized that she was having trouble keeping any milk down. She has been on a feeding tube in the NICU and is now having some tests and scans done to determine any internal issues she may have. I will update this GoFundMe as we find out the results. James and Sophie are a hardworking, farming family in rural Minnesota, and are very busy during the summer season. Living two hours from Children’s Hospital will present a lot of challenges during their extended stay with a large farm to run & four littles running around at home, so I’d like to share this GoFundMe to alleviate the medical bills for my sweet sister, her hardworking husband, and their precious little Elena Marie.
