Help Baby Evonne and family. Born 11 weeks early
Donation protected
Hi I am Nana to miss Evonne and unexpectedly she came 11 weeks early on October 22, 2022. At a very tiny 2 pounds 12.5 ounces and 14.75 inches long she has come earlier than expected and the family could use your help! Needs are gas money to commute for visits, monthly bills, food expenses, medical costs not covered by insurance, personal items for care, and many other things as there are 2 other children to care for as well as mommy and daddy. Mommy was unable to work for the past month due to health issues for her and baby. And because of that, an emergency cesarean had to be done 11 weeks before the due date. Now mom is unable to work due to continued health issues and cannot return until miss Evonne is able to come home safely.
Having a baby is supposed to be a beautiful thing and not so full of such stresses as something like this. It has been physically, financially and emotionally awful for her.
The back story is: She filed for temporary disability over a month ago when the doctor felt it was too dangerous for her (and for the baby) to work anymore. Just Hours after her insurance company called her to deny her disability claim, she was rushed to the hospital by ambulance (from her doctor’s office)and within 24 hours, our little Miss Evonne was born by emergency cesarean. We firmly believe that the stress of being denied caused this. AND, It’ll be another month before she can get her first disability payment and the company will sit on her back pay for yet another 45 days on her appeal for her back pay. Meanwhile, the bills are piling up because her job supported most of household expenditures.
They need at least 2 months worth of income to get caught up and another month before she will have anything come in for her normal disability payment. Plus the extra costs for fuel for the 60 mile round trips every day to visit with their daughter and to deliver her milk she is pumping while Evonne is in the NICU at Vanderbilt Hospital.
Even, if you can’t help monetarily, please pray for the medical board at Met Life to see the wrong in this and give mom the payment she deserves.
Thank you so much from the very bottom of my heart
Thank you to everyone for your prayers and any support you can give. Anything helps. (I will personally cover any fees the fund charges and give that directly to the family with each donation)
