Our niece and her family were headed home Sunday night, May 23, 2021, when they were hit by a high speed vehicle at full impact. A night where they were celebrating their anniversary, turned into a horrific chain of events no parent or child should ever have to go through.
Two of their five children, Emma (10 years) and Faye (4 weeks) were critically injured. While prayers for miracles were offered up, our dear Lord decided Faye needed to be home with Him today, May 26, 2021. Something we just can't understand, but have faith there is a purpose.
Emma is still fighting based on her complications and due to have surgery this coming Thursday. Based on her injuries, she received a miracle and still with us. We pray the doctors and care team at Children's Hospital in Dayton will heal her by the guidance of our Lord and medicine.
No family can ever prepare for such a tragic event, and this young family needs all the prayers and offerings to help them through this crisis that will be long term. While they could not get the miracle they wanted with Faye, they want to provide miracles to other babies and parents, by donating Faye's organs.
What they face ahead of them with transportation, medical bills and a funeral expense is overwhelming. We ask you to please take a moment and pray for what you may be able to offer to help them and pass along to anyone you feel could provide some financial support. If you cannot give, we ask you to please continue to raise this family up in prayer for the support and comfort they need now and in weeks to come.
