Baby Girl Evans

Hi our names are Heather and Kimberly and we are reaching out to share about Michelle and Travis, two of our very dear friends. They are thrilled to be expecting their first baby in February, a baby girl.

A few weeks ago they went in for a specialist appointment and they were told she has a rare heart defect, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. It is a rare congenital heart defect in which the left side of the heart is severely underdeveloped. The CDC estimates that each year

about 1.025 babies in the United States are born with this. In other

words, about 1 out of every 3,841 babies born in the United States each year is born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome.

They have been to several appointments since and have discovered that she is a candidate for major heart surgery, but she will need it right away and there will be several surgeries after that. This was understandably upsetting news to them both. However, they have faith that their little girl will fight, they will have a wonderful team of doctors awaiting her birth, and a plan of action in place for their baby girl.

Their family will have numerous expenses and they will be spending many days and nights at the hospital or near the hospital for months in order to be as close to their baby as they can be. They will incur many expenses that most of us never incurred when our babies were born.

We wanted to start this Go Fund Me to help them in every way possible. Michelle and Travis are two of the most giving people we have ever known. They love and they love big and they love to give to others. Now is our time we can give back to them.

Above all else please pray for them both and for this precious baby girl. She’s not under any stress while in Michelle’s womb and she’s growing each day. When she arrives and she is going through these surgeries, it will be a relief for this sweet couple to know they have this, and will have potentially fewer financial burdens.

Anything you feel led to donate will absolutely help during these future trying times. More than money though - Michelle and Travis would ask for prayers for their daughter; that is of utmost importance right now. They would be so grateful for any and all prayers for this little girl that is a fighter already. She’s going to have an army of friends praying for her and we want to do our part to help ease the tensions for Travis and Michelle.
