Baby Girl Knight is due to arrive next week!

Jacob and Lainey are expecting the arrival of their baby girl anyday, her due date is Jan. 13 but as of now her induction day is set for Jan 9. Dad, Jacob Knight is the son of Rondall and Shannon Ramage Kirkland and Brian Knight. and Mom, Lainey Coleman is the daughter of Stephen and Lacy Sipes Hammons and Tobey and Shay Coleman. Just a couple weeks after their gender reveal we found out baby girl has a heart defect called HLHS, where the left side of her heart didn’t form enough to be able to pump oxygenated blood to her body. In finding this, gave them no other option than baby girl being born in Ft. Worth and immediately being treated at Cook’s Childrens Medical Center for possibly several months. Over time we also learned she has a small aorta and a restricted atrial septum (hole in heart). These things combined have caused some fluid and swelling of her lungs, a MRI could not confirm any deterioration of the lungs which is the main factor in the surgeons plans to correct the defects, correction will require a few surgeries, and the first being within minutes of birth. We are asking for many prayers! Prayers for mom, dad and family, prayers for the nurses, surgeons and doctors, but extra prayers for baby girl to be one of the strongest little girls ever born and for healing!! With all this hitting the young couple, Jacob will have to miss some days of work, Lainey will be staying with the baby at Cook’s for some time, they will have to be eating away from home, he will be traveling further to see them the days he does work, so will have a good bit of extra expenses. This country has now came to tough times where no one can afford to take a day off from work, even for this type of emergency! And just being honest…. Utility companies and landlords do not care at all about anything someone is going through….. they just want their money! Our goal is to get them a little peace of knowing he can be there for his baby girl and Lainey when needs to be and not have to worry as much about the financial burdens of him being able to take days off especially next week.
